ciocarlia

s-auzi una...s-auzi doua...prrrrrrrrrrrrr
We are a bunch of colorful people... the Balkan people...:)
the other day i had another big revelation- I love my country, our traditions, our crazy culture and I can say it again and again.
We went to see fanfara Ciocarlia in the Barbican Hall... It was an explosion of color and light.
Imagine a happy red cheeks band playing trumpets, saxophone, drums, the people standing on their feet and screaming like crazy, dancing in circles and claping non-stop.
they had along with them special guests from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Hungary...it was 3 hours of permanent movement, dances and excitement...our lautari did their best and managed to turn the whole hall upside down in happines and joy of living.
Their short sleeves shirts...orange....blue...white...red...black...with some big bellies hidden behind...with their "tenc iu, tenc iu veri maci" (thank you...thank you very much) - probably the only word in english they knew ...where coming from deep down inside.
these simple people... these nomads are the ones that show our country to the world around...they are one of our labels and everyone goes simply mad about...
a bunch of smiley, happy folks... yes!
My Romania was smiling that night and dancing in circles like crazy fairies of the forest (ielele)...My Romania is beautiful inside...and it has so much more to give...
I believe!
